Just in time for Valentine’s Day!

The title of this post should really be “The Project that Drew Blood, Sweat and Tears”.   Let’s just say, this pillow took a lot longer than I anticipated (the sweat), I ran into some unanticipated obstacles (the tears) and will invest in a thimble in the unlikelihood that I ever attempt something like this again (the blood).  Luckily, I had 4 episodes of The Bachelor on my DVR to catch up on (choose Emily, Brad!) while I worked on this rather tedious project during my snow day last week.

This was part of my plan to slowly sneak pink into Jeff’s living room.  This pillow was made for Valentine’s Day but I like it so much and spent so long on it, I think I’ll keep it out all year round!  I like how it looks so fluffy and light!  Here is a closeup of the details of the pillow:

In the next post, I’ll show how I made all these delicate, intricate ruffly flowers!

After I finished the pillow, I realized that the ruffly flowers reminded me  of the front of my wedding dress! Maybe that’s why I like it so much!
