A dear couple that we affectionately call “Noug” got married last year and I was honored to not only stand in their wedding party but also design their invitation suite. I’ve designed wedding invitations for friends on several occasions and its always so fun to create a look that personifies the couple and sets the tone for the upcoming wedding. Invitations are guests’ first impressions of the big event! This quirky, fun-loving couple in particular was fun to work with because they planned a very unconventional “turtle-themed” wedding. (We bridesmaids wore green dresses and the groomsmen almost wore turtlenecks under their tuxes!) The groom loves playing basketball and the bride has two cherished pet turtles, so I came up with a logo that combined both their loves!
This past weekend was their one year anniversary so I sent them a card:
Happy Paper Anniversary, Noug! I love you both! May each year of marriage continue to get better and better! And may you fall deeper and deeper in love with each other! Go turtles.
