For Isaac, Duke Class of 2032

My college roommate just gave birth to their second child!   Since she met her husband in college, I thought it was fitting to gift her with some Duke Blue Devil onesies.  (I made onesies similar to these before here.  For those onesies, I painted the Duke logo on with fabric paint.)  For these new onesies, I traced the logo out in my silhouette machine, then had the machine cut it out. Then, I ironed the “D” onto the front of the onesies:

For the back, I attached a little blue devil tail:

I made the blue devil tail by drawing the tail out on blue velvet fabric, cutting it out onto two pieces of fabric, sewing the sides together and stuffing it with quilt batting:

These are super cute for their newly expanded Duke family:

All my siblings and I attended Duke University, too, so I can’t wait to make these for all my future nieces and nephews when they are born!

That is super cute. I’m glad the tail is on the back of the onesie!! 🙂 You are really creative, and I wish I had your energy!
Thanks for sharing all your cool ideas with all of us.

I love these and am inspired to make my own! What is the material of the D? Thank you!

Hi Jenn, I used the silhouette vinyl iron-on material. you can just use any white iron on transfer and cut out the D with scissors!
