Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed about having a flower petal toss after our wedding ceremony. It’s just so romantic!! Imagine hundreds of your closest friends and family showering you with rose petals after you just said your vows. Luckily, our wedding venue Ranchos Las Lomas allowed for flower petal tosses, not a lot of venues or churches these days allow flower petals, bird seeds or tosses of any kind since its so messy!
Instead of fresh rose petals, I bought freeze dried petals from Flyboy Naturals (they often have online coupons if you want to order from them). They look and feel a lot like fresh petals but just not wet and a little lighter. They are also not as fragrant but just as colorful! I went with freeze dried petals instead of fresh ones because I wanted to be able to package them up the week before the wedding and hand them to my coordinator early instead frantically packaging fresh petals the morning of the wedding. The last thing I wanted to do was packaging 240 packets of rose petals before I walked down the aisle! I calculated each guest would need about half a cup, so I bought 120 cups in the Very Berry blend color:
I bought the bags from clearbags.com and added an embossed monogram sticker to the front of each bag:
I’ll write a tutorial on how I made the stickers tomorrow!
I love this picture of my flower girls getting ready to throw the petals!

I think the flower petal toss was one of my favorite parts of the ceremony!
