After the long, agonizing hunt of finding my perfect wedding dress was over, I was off to find the perfect bridal accessories to complete my outfit!! First on my list, SHOES! Since Jeff is a good 10 inches taller than me, I needed to find some really high heels. Otherwise, I look so short and dumpy next to him! Thank goodness for Zappos‘ free shipping and return policy, I must’ve bought and returned over 10 pairs of shoes! I debated over wearing white shoes or colored shoes. Brightly colored shoes seem to be the trend these days! At one point, I even got a pair of satin shoes dyed bright blue! I finally settled on Badgley Mischka’s Randee in white satin, the dainty white flowers matched the front of my wedding dress perfectly!

These shoes added 4.5 inches to my height! Luckily they had a 1″ platform so they weren’t too uncomfortable. I wore another pair of shoes for our bike ride into our grand entrance that were only 4″ tall and then kicked off my shoes and went barefoot the rest of the night. I’m a Californian girl, I love walking around outside without my shoes! I attached these red heart-shaped non-slip pads to the bottom of the shoes, making for cute pictures!

Since I opted for white shoes, I wanted my bridesmaids to have some fun, colorful shoes!! So as part of their bridesmaids gifts, I gave them these bright fuchsia pumps!

The groom and groomsmen all just wore the standard shoes that came with their tux rental. But in case they felt left out of the colorful fun, I found them these fuchsia argyle socks (from Express for Men) that matched the girls’ shoes perfectly!
As you can probably tell, Jeff and I don’t take ourselves too seriously. We really wanted our wedding to be bright, colorful, fun and whimsical- I think our shoes and socks really reflected this!

I wore blue shoes and my husband wore cool striped socks to our wedding. Our feet picture is one of my favs!
My husband and I didn’t wear shoes for our beach wedding, but I love these! Great post and pics! Looks super fun.
whoa, i had no idea our socks were meant to match with the bridesmaids’ shoes but it makes perfect sense now! i also had no idea that your shoes had hearts on the bottom, this is the first time i’ve seen a picture of that!
