Jeff and I jumped on the photobooth bandwagon! Photobooths are all the rage now, it seems like every wedding has to have one! My sister had a photoboothat her wedding and it was so much fun! We wanted to give guests things to do in case they get bored looking at all the wild animals or playing games. We went with Snappy Joe Photography, who did my sister’s wedding and photographed some family photographs for us before. We hired them for 5 hours but I think they ended up staying longer, it was just so popular. The photobooth was open during cocktail hour and during the reception up on a little terraced area. Snappy Joe brought all these fun props! They even had Jeff and I take photos of ourselves making funny faces a few weeks before our wedding and they printed out some life-sized portraits of them and made them into masks. We added a bunch of our own props, too, like Duke basketball gear, carebears and Celtics jerseys. Our guests had a blast with it!

I love these photos of my flower girls taking their pictures and then patiently waiting for their pictures to print out:

Two copies of each picture was printed out. Guests got to keep one copy for themselves and the other copy went into our guestbook:
I ordered this 3-ring binder online (I can’t for the life of me remember from where!) and used it as a guestbook. I really wanted a three ring binder so that we can take out and add our own pages to it. I didn’t want a bottleneck at the guestbook table so I wanted to have loose pages that guests can fill out and then insert into the guestbook, instead of everyone waiting in a long line to fill out one book. I got it embossed with our names and wedding date on it:
For the inserts, I just printed out a design onto cardstock paper, with a place for people to write their names, glue in their photo and notes/advice for us:
I printed it out on both sides of the cardstock then took it to kinkos to get it hole-punched with one of their industrial strength hole-punchers.
Guests got really creative with their photos and their notes to us!
We loved reading our guestbook after our wedding! We didn’t get to talk to some of our guests that day so it was so fun to see their pictures and see that they were having fun that day. We loved reading everyone’s notes to us, too, especially the words of wisdom and advice they gave us. Some people are so funny. Every now and then, I will pull the guestbook off our bookshelf and read the notes that they wrote us. We will cherish this book forever!!
