Embellished Baseball Cap (tutorial)

I decorated this hat for a little 3 year old boy in less than 15 minutes! I got the little distressed baseball cap from GapKids on sale for $5!   These are my favorite types of projects- cheap, quick and easy.

The cap was really plain so I wanted to spruce it up a little. I cut out a star and the little “N” out of the Silhouette heat transfer material. I used the flocked material so its nice and fuzzy:

Then I ironed the star onto the cap and then ironed on the “N”:If you don’t have a silhouette machine, you can get a similar effect by hand cutting out felt and ironing it on with heat n’ bond.

I used some gold embroidery thread to hand stitch all around the star:

Voila!! A personalized embellished cap for little N!

Super easy!

Quick and easy. I love it! Thanks for the tutorial. I think I want one for myself to wear on the school bus.

Do you have a suggestion for a good beginner’s sewing machine?? $100 or less would be ideal! Thx :)
