Today is our last full day in Taiwan and I was on my daily trip to 7-11 to buy me some snackies. Despite it being 11am in the morning, I wandered over to the freezer section to check out it’s icecream and popsicles. You never know what you will see in these freezers. The selections change daily and I’ve seen lots of “interesting” flavors before in Taiwan (like baby corn popsicles) and some good flavors (like mango & cream sorbet). I had checked the freezer yesterday and nothing jumped out at me and I was certain that today would be the same. After perusing the usual offerings, I couldn’t believe what I saw: a boba milk tea icecream bar!!!!
Which genius decided to combine my two favorite desserts- icecream and boba- into one?! And put it on a stick?! It’s brilliant!! Is it too good to be true?! Were my eyes’ deceiving me?! I quickly snatched one up and practically danced my way over to the cashier, barely containing my excitement! $25NT! (that’s less than an American dollar!) I couldn’t believe my good find! I think I even squealed out loud!! I was barely out of the store before I ripped off the packaging and took a big bite!
It was SO GOOD!!! Creamy and milky on one half and milk tea flavor on the other half with little bits of tapioca balls interspersed. You would think that the frozen boba bits would be hard but they were soft and chewy. It was heaven on a stick!! I think I finished the whole thing in less than 5 minutes. I need to find these in the States!!!!

Hi! And welcome to my site! I hope you find something that inspires you while you are here.
