A Doodlejump Birthday Present!

Is anyone else as obsessed over the Doodlejump as I am? It’s this app game that you can play on your iphone/ipad where you try to jump up to higher levels.  I don’t play a lot of video games (I also play Bejeweled and Words With Friends), but this one is my favorite.  I can play it for hours!  Not only is it super addictive, it also has cute graphics and sound effects. My friend Amy was the one who introduced me to it so when I found this cute Doodlejump journal, I had to buy it for her birthday!

You can buy your own  Doodlejump journal here.

I wanted to make her a matching birthday card, so I found the graphics online, printed them out and made this card:

I wanted the little creatures/monsters to be a little 3D and raised above the card, so after I cut them out, I used glue dots to attach them to the card:

I printed out a little three-eyed monster to represent myself and glued it to the inside of the card:

I wrapped up the journal with a paper grocery bag and added a creature to the back before I mailed it off!

That was a quick and way way to personalize a birthday present.

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!  Jeff and I are flying to Florida tomorrow to celebrate with his parents!  Happy eating and safe travels, everyone!  We have so much to be grateful for!

This is so cute and novel! I love how it’s wrapped in the brown paper. Awesome idea and lucky friend :)
