Jeff and I are excited to announce that we are expecting a baby!!! Lord willing, we will be welcoming a sweet baby girl into our family this October!! We joyfully (and nervously) await her arrival and want to share our good news with you all! Some of you are super perceptive and have already guessed because I hinted at my big secret project earlier or you saw my rapidly growing “nursery” pinboard on Pinterest- you guys are too sharp! This was THE hardest secret for Jeff and I to keep! We are bursting with joy! Our baby “jellybean” has already blessed us in so many ways. We cant’ believe we get to be her parents and we feel so lucky to be entrusted with her care. We already dream big dreams for our little girl and love to imagine what she is going to be like growing up. I’m hoping she gets her father’s freckles and dimples and sunny disposition. Jeff dreams about playing tennis with her and is already getting teary-eyed at the thought of walking her down the aisle!
This is by far, THE BIGGEST PROJECT I have ever worked on!! Not only is it physically exhausting growing a little person in my belly for 9 months, our little girl who is only the size of a mango right now has turned our lives upside down! A few days after the news finally sunk in, I hit full-on panic mode and started reading books on pregnancy/delivery/child rearing and signing up for classes. This being our first child, we have NO idea what the heck we are doing and what we are in for!! We also realized that we can’t live in our tiny but cool one bedroom apartment in city anymore so we’ve been pounding the pavement, spending all our weekends and spare time house hunting for a new home in the ‘burbs for our growing little family. It’s all very exciting and new to us! We’ve got a lot to do before the little jellybean makes her big debut this fall! AND, I’ve been scheming up lots of little baby projects in this head of mine. Get ready for lots of baby sewing projects, nursery ideas and more!!
(We took two home pregnancy tests because the first one I took at the top, the second pink line was so faint we weren’t if our eyes were seeing it correctly or not so I ran out to Walgreens to get another test that definitively said “PREGNANT”. Whew, no mistake there!)

Hi! And welcome to my site! I hope you find something that inspires you while you are here.

Congratulations! It’s the best feeling in the world. I’m due in August with our first and I remember seeing that very, very faint second line on the test at 5:00 am on a cold December morning. I couldn’t believe it, so I called my doctor and had a blood test that afternoon! Happy house hunting!
