There must be something in the water because so many of my friends have been giving birth lately!! It’s raining babies! It seems that we are in that stage of our lives where a lot of our friends are having little ones. I feel especially fortunate to have girl friends who have gone through pregnancy before so that I can get their advice. I’m pretty clueless about it all!
Since customized onesies are my “go to” gift for newborns, I thought I’d share a few that I gave earlier this year. I buy a lot of plain onesies that I can embellish from Old Navy. They always have a good assortment of colors and when they go on sale, they are pretty cheap at $5 each.
This one is for little Xander, isn’t that the coolest name ever?! Because I loved his name so much, I made a onesie with a big “X” on it:
This one is for little Kira. Their family moved Texas so I made a onesie with their new state on it:
I made vintage-style state shirts with Texas and Massachusetts on it for her older brother last year (to this day, that tutorial is my popular post ever!), so I wanted to make a matching one for his little sister. The Texas design was cut out with my silhouette machine and I ironed on a heart on top of that:
Tag with her name on it:
This last one is for little Desmond, who’s dad plays volleyball with Jeff:
Customizing onesies are a fun, unique gift to give! They are always a crowd pleaser and they are pretty fast and easy to make. See other custom onesies I made here here here here here here and here!! I can’t wait to start making some for our future little girl!!
