A couple weekends ago, my sister and a three of my best girl friends threw us a baby shower!! Jeff and I were so thrilled to be the lucky recipients of this shower! Since Jeff and I love bicycles and had a bicycle-themed wedding, they came up with the clever idea to have a tricycle-themed baby shower. SO CUTE!! It was perfect for us!! And because I plan on having a pink and gray nursery when we move to our new place, the shower was also pink and gray-themed. We loved every little detail that went into planning this shower. My friends are so talented!
My sister made the most adorable diaper tricycles out of 100 newborn diapers, bottles, onesies, socks, burp cloths and bibs. How cute are these:
My friends went all out to plan the perfect party for us. All the beautiful decor, yummy food, fun games and activities were thoughtfully planned and executed. They wouldn’t let me help out either! They should go into the party planning business! Here is just a snippet of some of the lovely details:
Jeff and I were so touched by all our friends that came to celebrate with us, too. To be honest, when we first found out we were expecting earlier this year, I was a little sad and worried because we hadn’t live in San Francisco for long and I was still feeling a little lost out here. I was afraid I’d be lonely raising a child in this new city and I was mourning the loss of the loving community we left behind in Boston. But boy, was I proved wrong! I was humbled by all our friends, new and old, who came out to support us! Jeff and I were grateful for everyone who came to our baby shower, it really meant a lot to me especially. We felt so showered by their love and generosity. Our baby girl is SO lucky to have so many people who love and care for her already! We truly are blessed!
