Sorry it’s been slow on here this past week, Jeff and I have been really busy – we moved to our new home over Labor Day weekend! The new condo that we bought is only a block from our previous apartment, you think it wouldn’t be that hard to move down the street but moving in a big city like San Francisco from one huge high-rise complex to another takes a lot of work and coordination! Especially when you are 32 weeks pregnant and can’t lift anything heavy yourself!!! And especially more so when your craft supplies and fabric stash fill up 11 huge boxes! We are all settled into our new place now. I’ve moved a whopping SEVEN times in the past 9 years so hopefully I have unpacked my last box for a long time! Whew! No more moving for me!!
We are so grateful to get to live here and know that we are incredibly blessed to have this beautiful home to ourselves. It was a stressful past half year of house hunting and at times discouraging (have you read this article that claims SF housing and rental prices have surpassed NYC’s?!) but God’s timing and provision proved to be perfect once again and we are sooooo thankful to get to live here.
You know what else I am thankful for? Surprise packages from friends in the mail!! Especially when bicycles are involved:
Thank you to my friend J who sent these lovely bicycle-print oven mitts! They look great in our new home!
They are the perfect housewarming gifts!
Now that we are finally moved into our new place, my next mission is making it feel like home! I’ve been busy this week calling electricians, contractors and painters to make a few upgrades to our condo. My imagination is running wild on all the things I want to change (I can hear Jeff groaning right now). That’s the best thing about owning our own place again, I can do anything I want. If I want to convert all the storage spaces to craft supply closets, I can! And I did! Next home project? Tackling the nursery!!! I can’t wait to get started on our baby girl’s room!
