Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites Recipe

YUMMM!! These treats are the best!!!  These peanut butter pretzel bites are the perfect combination of salty, sweet, crunchy and melt-in-your-mouth goodness.  I’m a sucker for anything with the chocolate/peanut butter combination (check out my reese’s peanut butter cup recipe) so I was popping these babies in my mouth every 10 seconds:

These are so easy to make, no baking required!  Takes about 30 minutes to make a batch.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp softened unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • pretzels
  • 2 cups of milk chocolate chips (or try dark chocolate!)

Directions

Mix together peanut butter and butter with a spoon in a bowl. Stir in powdered sugar and brown sugar until a thick dough forms. Roll peanut butter dough into small balls. If it is too sticky, add more powdered sugar to thicken the dough.

Sandwich balls between two pretzels and place on a silicone-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 10 minutes.

While the pretzel bites are chilling, melt chocolate in a double boiler or  microwave for  1 minute, stirring every 20 seconds.

Dip the pretzel bites halfway into the melted chocolate and place bite back on baking sheet. Refrigerate  for at least 10 minutes for chocolate to set:

Since the pretzel shapes remind me of hearts, I think these would be SO cute to make for Valentine’s Day!  I want to dip them in white chocolate and then sprinkle pink/red sugar or sprinkles on them!

I dare you to eat just ONE. It ain’t going to happen. These are so addicting!!!
