Here’s an easy project for new moms. When I was pregnant with Zoey, I had this ambitious plan to take a picture of her every day during her first month of life because I knew she would be changing daily and I wanted to document it all. (And its true, I can’t believe the baby I am holding in my arms right now is the same child I brought home from the hospital. She has changed so much since then!) I wanted a small sign to put in each photo to keep track of what day it was, sort of like a calendar, so I bought this white mini 2″x3″ picture frame from Michaels craft store and printed out numbers for each day:
I made sure to pack the picture frame in my hospital bag so that we would capture her first few days at the hospital with it. The picture frame was the perfect size since its so small, it pretty much can fit into anywhere. I was pretty good about taking Zoey’s photo with the picture frame everyday but then Thanksgiving hit around day 23 and we got really busy hosting our families and I sort of forgot to continue it. Oh wells, sticking with it for three weeks is pretty good in my book! Its amazing to see her transform every day:
Is it wrong that some of my favorite photos of Zoey are of her crying? Those pics crack me up! I plan to continue on taking pictures of Zoey with the frame every week for the next few months just to document her growth and her cuteness. My baby is growing up so fast, right before my eyes! The kid has shown us so much personality already. Today, she gave us her FIRST SMILE!! It was a very exciting milestone! It was only for a split second, but Jeff caught it on video! Most of the footage was of me squealing and pleading for her give us another one of her sweet gummy smiles. We are looking forward to many more new milestones and memories during her second month of life!
