Happy 2 Year Blogiversary!

I can’t believe its been two years since I started this blog!  When I wrote my first blog post, back on February 1, 2011, I was a newlywed living in Cambridge, MA experiencing one of the worst winters of my life.  Now two years later, I’m living in the great city of San Francisco and a mom to a beautiful three month old baby girl!  The years go by so fast!

This past blogging year in a nutshell:  I completely  re-designed my site and transferred my blog from a wordpress-hosted site to a self-hosted  site.  I spent last February being cheap, challenging myself to create a whole lot of things without spending a single penny. I got a new sewing machine and a new serger.  I finally learned how to use said serger 10 months later.  I inexplicably took a month off from blogging last spring due to first trimester morning sickness and then came back to announce my pregnancy to the world!  Thus, sparked lots of maternity and baby projects!  I  ate a lot of potstickers. We bought and moved into a new home last summer and somewhere in there, I embarked on a dizzying quest to churn out all sorts of homemade ice-cream concoctions. Then, I gave birth to the biggest project I’ve ever worked on, my baby girl Zoey!    Zoey’s birthday, however, was not the happiest day of my life.  That recognition goes to the day that I found my favorite Taiwanese ice-cream bars sold in the States. It’s been quite a year!!

Thanks so much for reading my site this year!  Even though I don’t always respond to them all (thought I try!), I read all your comments and emails and they keep me going! One thing that I have always appreciated about my readers is how nice you all are.  Sometimes I can get a little jaded with this world, but keeping this blog and hearing back from  strangers reminds me that there are GOOD people out there!  Good people who may have never met me in real life but who take the time to encourage me, give advice, and share your life stories.  I love hearing from you!  So thank you!!
