Heart-filled Wall Decor

It’s almost time for my most favorite holiday of the year – Valentine’s Day!  I love February 14th!!   A day full of pink, hearts, chocolate, mushy words, cheesy puns and romantic gifts – what’s not to love?!  Except for Christmas, most holidays come and go and I don’t do much to decorate our home. But every February, I have to do something, even if its something small, to make our home feel a little more Valentinesy.

We have these wall candleholders from Crate and Barrel above the couch in our living room:

I don’t love them but the previous owners left them behind when they moved out and since we don’t have anything else to fill that large space, we just kept them there. (Also, for all you The Bachelor fans out there, I liked these more when I saw these exact same wall candleholders in silver all over the bachelor mansion!  See some older photos here and here!) Over Christmas, we hung all the photo cards we got from friends and family on it and it ended up being a pretty cool looking installation. I wish I took a photo of it back then because it was so fun to see those photos displayed like that. Zoey would stand on the couch and point to the photos and say some of the names of the people she recognized.

For Valentine’s Day, I hung these red hearts with fishing line randomly all over the wall display:

I got these red heart ornaments from Michaels a few weeks ago when they were on sale. I believe they were $4 for a box of 8 and came in solid or glitter:

It was a quick makeover that just added a fun little punch to the room.  It makes me smile whenever I see this fun little display.

Also, who is excited about the winter Olympics?! I am!!! I have an addictive personality and I am already glued to the tv watching all the pre-games coverage!!
